Take the assessment test if you are a new student and plan to take an English or math class. Refer to the assessment information online or call (559) 791-2329 for assessment information.
We strongly recommend that you meet with a counselor to assess your goals and select appropriate courses. Call (559) 791-2329 to make an appointment with a counselor or advisor.
Register for your class using Web registration or come to the campus for walk-in registration. For instructions on using Web registration, go to 5 easy steps to becoming a PC student.
When registering for your classes, please verify that you have a College email address; if you do not have one assigned to you please create one at this time. If you already have a College email address, or an email address from Bakersfield or Cerro Coso College, please be sure to review your address during registration as this will be the only form of communication between yourself and the instructor. Instructions on how to log into your email can be found on the Porterville College website via the PC Gmail link.
Look for an email from your instructor at your college email address. It should arrive by the first day of your class. This email will contain information on when and how to access your online class. Contact your instructor if you do not receive this email by the first day of your class.
Types of courses offered:
Online: These courses require no on-campus attendance.
Hybrid-Online: These courses blend online instruction with some traditional on-campus instruction. Dates and times of on-campus meetings will be noted in the schedule.
Students taking online and hybrid-online courses must know their college assigned email address. During the first day of class students must check their college email address for further instructions from the instructor.
