CA Mini-Corps

California Mini-Corps recruits college students knowledgeable about migrant lifestyle and prepares them to assist classroom teachers in providing instructional services to migrant children. The Porterville College program has been successful in terms of recruitment, transfer, and services rendered to the local school districts. We are currently servicing several schools from the following school districts: Alta Vista, Burton, Ducor, Porterville, Pleasant View, Lindsay, Sunnyside  and Woodville. The program provides training, mentoring, advising, financial support for the college students interested in becoming teachers.
