Head Coach: Dale Henderson

(3rd season)

Dale Henderson is entering his third season as Porterville College head women's volleyball coach.

In 2008, Henderson guided PC to a 13-9 mark - giving the Pirates the best turn-around record in the state (from 2 wins in 2007). For their achievements, Henderson and assistant Gracie Steidley were honored as the college "Coaching Staff of the Year."

Prior to joining the PC staff, Henderson coached girl's varsity volleyball at Redwood High School in Visalia. He led the Rangers to their first-ever Valley championship title. In five years at Redwood, he compiled an impressive record of 107-42.

Henderson also made a name for himself coaching the club circuit. He coached the Sequoia Crush, and was the founder and coach for the V-Town Volleyball Club.

He played volleyball in the United State Army (1983-85) as an outside hitter. His American Service team won a Post Championship title in 1984 – the same year the club won the European title. Henderson was named Most Valuable Player.
