April 4 and 11:
Mr. Jon Satko, physics and astronomy professor, related how the universe can show the hand of God.  One interesting point was that by using mathematics and statistics we can see that there is a greater chance that all the air molecules in a room will move to one tiny corner than that the universe will form in such a way to support life.  A number of fascinating facts can be learned at www.reasons.org

April 18 and 25:
Mr. Joel Wiens, professor of anatomy, began the video "icons of evolution" which discusses the historical and scientific accuracy of six claims that prove evolution.  Included are the Miller-Urey Experiment, Darwin's finches, homology, and the Cambrian explosion. The book's author supports the concept that more evolution should be taught and not less.  This means not being censored from discussing the challenges that neo-Darwinism faces.  A web site supported by the author is http://www.discovery.org/csc/ .   This website contains many thoughtful essays and questions.
